Untitled I from "Lake Tear", 2012/2016
Lake Tear

"Rivers stands for the irreversible passage of time and, inconsequence, for a sense of loss and oblivion."

On June 15th 2012 I set out on a three day, nine mile hike, 4,293ft above sea level to the highest source of the Hudson River, “Lake Tear of the Clouds”. The landscape footage shown in the video is taken from the hike to the source. The second part of the footage is acted out by Eda, whose character I asked to reenact two events that lead up to the 2012 hike to the source of the Hudson River.
